Some Layouts using Graphic 45 product

Its not all that often that Bob doesn't smile and the fact that I caught a frown on the camera is in and of its self kind of a miracle. I have always loved those serious photo shots that professionals seem to make men do. So I didn't mind in the least. On the edge of the photo you will find a tab and if you pull it out..... you will find my thoughts on the journey we are taking as we blaze new trails in our relationship. Graphic 45, Prima, Tattered Angels, Tim Holtz, Creative Imaginations and a lighter from Mexico were all used to create this piece.

What more can I say that the title doesn't? The Vintage tag spreads out to explain how I think I was born in the wrong era and not just for scrapbooking. This layout uses painting, marbelizing of embossing on chipboard. The chipboard and stencil letters came out of stash far to old to admit to but they worked with some up dating. Toss in some ribbons and decorative pins....and you have my take on being vintage. I must admit I love to use bubble wrap with paints in scrapbooking.......adds texture without dimension.

Some of you may recall the Xmas count down calander that I created this past fall. This continues on with the versatility of a cookie sheet. This is a count down calendar for going to a crop. I loved using the Graphic 45 papers to make this vinatge piece. Lots and Lots of ink vendors. Not to mention glossy accents and Tim Holtz products. Everything is magnetic so it can be reused over and over.


Last but by far not the least this is a layout featuring the castle in Mismolaya Mexico that was used in the making of the movie "Night of the Iguana". It is also were Elizabeth Taylor began her romance with Richard Burton despite be married at the time. K & Company, Tattered Angels, Tim Holtz,Prima, to name a few of the manufacturers used on this layout. I have to draw your attention to the Prima Brick Wall stamp that is used on this layout. I have a new favourite stamp, thank you Prima.

I thought I would share with you

So I am feeling very silly and foolish. I have been sad and anxious because my computer is loaded with some major Trojans and other infectious delights. I couldn't begin to imagine how I was going to keep up with posting and sharing of my world around me.

Ahhhhh here comes the embarassing part...............

Besides my computer there are five other working and fully functioning computers......duhhhhhhhh go borrow one Dawn. Heaven only knows that you have fixed, installed, setup, and allowed those same users to use yours when they didn't have one. Sometimes I really can be a bonafied air head.

I was going to share some layouts etc. but I took the pictures on a 8GB card and none of the computers here can handle it. So instead I will share a few photos from our three weeks in Mexico and Los Angeles/ SanDiego.

Here are a few of my favourite shots from SanDiego Zoo.

This is the mother panda dining on her favourite greens. This is a once in a lifetime experience to see something so regal and serene so close. I remember why I love Panda Bears.

This beautiful female gorilla's eyes captured my attention, I longed to capture the emotion and feelings that she seemed to have. I think I see the connection between man and ape in this photo.

Flamingos are so brilliant and always look so elegant, unless you are this fine fella and get caught needing to scratch. I love this photo of this feathered friend.

This handsome silverback gorilla has the right idea, time for a nap.......so as it is late,funny how time flies when you are reminicising. I look forward to sharing with you many more bits and pieces from our life and trip.

I am Still Alive

This is just a quick note to let you all know that due to some serious computer issues I am not able to be updating the blog very often. Depends on whose computer I can shanghai in the coming days.

Bob and I just returned from three weeks in California and Mexico so I am hoping to do some serious scrapping in the coming weeks as I sort through and contemplate the 6000 photos that actually made it home.
